AN ORDINANCE .FROVIDIING FOR THE REZONING A0 REDISTRICTING OF CERTAIN
REAL ESTATE AS HERETTAFTER DESCRIBED, AND PROVIDING THAT THE SAME
SHALL BE CHANGED FRCS! A DISTRICT "C", AND REZONED Al,D REDISTRICTED
SO THAT THE SAME SHALL BECOME A DISTRICT IIF"9 KNOWN AS A 13USINESS
DISTRICT.
Whereas, a petition was filed with the clerk of the City of
Jefferson , 1,,- . ssouri , on thr. - dqr of I 1948,
praying for an amendment, re_cfa_s�sifiecation and, redistricting of
the boundaries of the zoning ordinances of the Uity of Jefferson,
and requesting a rezoning of the territory in said ,)etition described,,
and praying that a rezoning be had of the same to provide for the
best interests of the public, and,
Whereas, as is provided for by the zoning ordinances of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, a notice of the filing of said petition
was published in the Jefferson City Post Tribune Jjjly 61 19,48 and
the Daily Capital News June 22,23,24,25,26, 29,30, July 1,2,,3,7,8.,9
and 10, 1948, said notice stating that all parties are hereby notified
that the City Council of the City of Jefferson would consider said
change at its first meeting after said publication had been made, and that
public hearings would be held on July 12, 1948. and,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Hereinafter the following described real estate
may be used, occupied., built on and buildings constructed triereon for
public purposes, and the same shall be classified as a District 'IF".,
commomly known as a business district, as is rjow provided in the
zoning ordinances of the City of Jefferson, M .ssouri., and said land
so rezoned., reclassified and redistricted is more Darticular]Fy
described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Inlot 604 on the south
side of the public alley and the west line of Monroe Street;
thence westerly along the southerly line of the public alley
to the easterly line of District now zoned as "G"; thence
southerly along the easterly line of the property zoned as IIGf?
to the northerly line of the public alley in the bbock between
Elm. dunklin, Jefferson and Monroe Streets; thence easterly
along the northerly line of said alley to the westerly line
of Monroe Street; therice northerly along the westerly line of
Monore Street bo the point of beginning.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3. this ordinance shall becore effective upon its
passage and approval.
