AN ORDINANCE LE'vYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAIT;ST THE LOTS OR
TRACTS CF LSND FROI;iT NG OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF DOi GLAS DRIVE,
FROM THE INTERSECTION OF MAIN STREET AND DOUGLAS DRIVE TO THE INTER*
SECTION OF DAVIS STREET AND DOUGLAS DRIVES IN THE CITY OF UEFFERSDE ,
MISSOURI FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY GRADING, CURBING
AND GUTTERING AND PAVING WITH ASPHALT MACADAM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF JEFFERSCN, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate
and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordi-
nance, against the aggregate lots ot7 tracts of land fronting or abutt-
ing on the rapadway of Douglas Drive, from the intersection of Main
Street and Lo-jglas Drip to the intersection of Davis Street and
Douglas Drive, in the ity of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement
of the roadway of Douglas Drive aforesaid, including such grading as
may be necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of
$8,906.03 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the
number of front feet fronting or;:abutting said roadway of said
Douglas Drive aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amounts of 1218.20
running feet; the cost price per running foot is $5.087 plus $2.10 per
lin. ft. for curb and gutter.
Section 2. 1,or the purpose of paying said improvement of said
roadway of Douglas Lrive, from the intersection of Main Street and
Douglas Drive to the intersection of Davis Street and Louglas 15rive9
there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $5. 087 as a special
tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said road-
way of Louglas Drive between the aforesaid streets, and contained is
such lot of Eiece of ground fronting or abutting said improved road-
way of said ouglas Drive, from the intersection of Plain Street and
Douglas Drive to the intersection of Davis Street and Douglas Drive.
