AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FOR THF, MONTH OF OCTOBER, 1948.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
City Trepsury not otherwise appropriated, the following:
REVENUE FUND
For the purpose of paying the salaries of elective

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI ,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, TO SIGN AND EXECUTE A CERTAIN LEASE 00 THE
PART OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS HEREINAFTER SET OUT4
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor of the amity of Jefferson, Missouri,
a municipal corporation, is hereby authorized and-directed to sign
and execute on behalf of the City of Jefferson, M ssouri, a certain
lease, the terms of said lease to be as follows, to-wit:

THIS INDEN 'URE OF LEASE made this 4th day of October, 1948,
by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municJpaal corpora-
tion, q,hereinafter referred to as Lessor, and Fred F.,ariken of the
County of Cole , State of Missouri , hereinafter referred to as Lessee,
WITNESSETH:
That the said Lessor for and in consideration of the covenants
and agreements hereinafter mentioned, to be kept and performed by the
said Lessee, has demised and leased to the Lessee all of the premises
lying, being and situate in Callaway County, Missouri, and described
as follows, to-wit:
The tracts and parcels of land as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and. made a part hereof.
TH HAKE AN].'. TO HOLD the above described premises with all
the privileges and appurtenances belonging to the same unto the
Lessee, his successors and assigns, for a term cpmmencing on the
4th day of October, 1949 and ending on the 4th day of October, 1951.
The Lessee in consideration of the leasing of the premises
aforesaid by the Lessor to the Lessee does hereby covenant andagree
with the Lessor to pay the Lessor as rent for the said premises in
-the amount and manner as follows, to-wit:
The sum of $10.00 per acre for all acerage as shown on

Exhibit "A"; said acerage to be deteEmined by the Lessee, ity
Engineer and Airport Manager of the ity of Jefferson, Missouri.
After said acerage has been mutually- agreed upon, the Lessee shall pay
to the said Lessor the sum of Dollars on June 1, of
each year to be paid-.by saidLessee to said Lessor and the balance
of ollars to be paid to said Lessor by said Lessee

before, the 15t� day of October of each year.

Lessee agrees to sow whaat , oats or other small grains
on the above described premises and harvest said crops on or before
the 15th day of October, of each year and any and all other crops
that the Airport Manager for the City of Jefferson, Missouri may
give his permission from time to time for the Lessee to plant or sow
on any of the designated areas as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
It is mutually agreed by the parties hereto that said Lessee
will not at any time sow, plant, cultivate, harvest or do any work olo
whatsoever nature on any of the areas as designated on Exhibit "A"
when same shall interfere with any aeronautical activities on the
Jefferson City Memorial Airport and said Lessee agrees that at all
times he will adhere to agcy and all rules, regulatkons and orders
concerning same as laid down by the Airport Manager.
Said Lessee has the privilege of subrenting any or all of the
above described land for, the term of this lease under the same terms
.and conditions of this lease.
Itis mutually agreed by the parties hereto that in the event
of total or partial destruction b-t flood of the crops on the above
described land the Lessor shall forfeit all of their rights to any
and all rental on said land according to the acerage flooded,

hands the day and year written above.
