BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An election shall be held to elect three
Councilmembers in places 1, 3 & 5 for two year
terms. Such election shall be held at the City
Hall, 3200 Diana Drive, Richland Hills, Texas,
from 7:00 o'clock a.m. until 7:00 o'clock p.m.
on the 6th day of May, 1989.
SECTION 2. Eligible persons wishing to become candidates
must file application with the Mayor or City
Secretary of the City of Richland Hills, Texas,
on or before the 22nd day of March, 1989, until
5:00 p.m.
SECTION 3. Absentee voting shall commence in the office of
the City Secretary on the 17th day of April, at
8:00 a.m. and shall close on the 2nd day of May,
1989 at 5:00 p.m.
SECTION 4. The following persons shall be the Officers who
shall conduct the election:
• Russell Miller, Election Judge
Ola James, Alternate Judge
and such other clerks as may be appointed by the
Election Judge. Said persons shall also serve as
the Absentee Ballot Board.
SECTION 5. The election shall be conducted according to the
laws of the State of Texas.
SECTION 6. The one person in each of places 1, 3 & 5
receiving the highest number of votes, shall be
deemed to have been elected as the Councilmember
in that particular place for a two year term.
