I hereby veto this ordinance as it is my opinion it is not
in legal form which will serve as a lease between the parties. It is
my further opinion that the rent is much less than the city should
and could obtain if efforts were made to readvertize. The tax
payers should receive all the revenue possible arid while I have
no complaints against the Millsap Brothers I do not believe
they would pay enough for the property under the proposed lease-
this veto is dictated by. ^a desire to look after the taxpayers*

CERTIFICATION
I hereby certify that the within named ordinance was
returned to the City (Council at its regular meeting held March
79 1949 vetoed by the ayor and objections noted therein that
at said regular meeting the within mentioned ordinance stood
reconsidered and the question was presented to the Council as
follows; to wit: Shall the bill pass, the objections 6f the
Mayor thereto notwithstanding? the City Councilmen voted on
this question and upon roll call' said question received an
affirmative vote of more than two-thirds of all of the members
elected to the City Council.
