AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH COLLIERS ENGINEERING & DESIGN
NJDEP ONRR GRANT RIVER WALK PHASE II — NORTHERN SECTION
S, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services in
with the NJDEP ONRR Grant River Walk Phase U Northern Section; and
REAS, Colliers Engineering & Design, 331 Newman Springs Road, Red Bank,
Jersey 07701, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said
es; and
?AS, Colliers Engineering & Design has submitted a proposal to provide said
at a total cost not to exceed $6,500.00; and
the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
IEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the.
i of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Colliers Engineering & Design for
engineering services related to the NJDEP ONRR Grant River
Walk Phase II Northern Section at a cost not to exceed $6,500.00
is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Finance
Department, the Borough Director of Engineering and Colliers
Engineering & Design.

Description of service contract scope:
Colliers Engineering & Design (CED) has previously completed our scope under our original authorization for
Northern Walkway Design, Permitting, and Bid Documents. We are requesting authorization for additional fees to
cover ongoing coordination, document preparation, meetings, etc. associated with the Northern Walkway, the Ferry
Terminal, and the upland development being conceptualized by Melillo & Bauer. CED will attend project meetings
both in person and virtually with the various other consultants for the purpose of coordinating the River Walk, Ferry
Terminal, and upland development projects with respect to project schedule, phasing, and potential design
revisions. We will also prepare additional documentation as requested by the Borough.
We recommend the following additional budget be allocated and billed on as -need time basis.
The Business Terms and Conditions of the original contract shall still apply.
