RESOLUTION 18 - 8 9
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A special election shall be held to elect one Councilmember in
Place 4 for the remainder of the unexpired term of such office.
Such election shall be held at City Hall, 3200 Diana Drive, Richland
Hills, Texas from 7:00 o'clock a.m. until 7:00 o'clock p.m. on the 6th
day of May, 1989, concurrent with the General Election for City
Offices.
SECTION 2. Eligible persons wishing to become candidates must file application
with the Mayor or City Secretary of the City of Richland Hills,
Texas, on or before the Sth day of April, 1989, until 5:00 o'clock
p.rn. Applications will not be accepted prior to March 8, 1989.
SECTION 3. The following persons shall be the Officers who shall conduct the
election:
Russell Miller Election Judge
• Ola James Assistant Judge
and such other clerks as may be appointed by the Election Judge.
Said persons shall also serve as the Absentee Ballot Board.
SECTION 4. The election shall be conducted according to the laws of the State of
Texas.
SEC~~ON 5. The one person in Place 4 receiving the highest number of votes shall
be deemed to have been elected as the Councilmember in Place 4 for
the remainder of the unexpired term of such office.
