A RESOULTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE CONTINUANCE OF A CRIME PREVENTION/MAJOR CRIMES UNIT
WHEREAS, the current manpower and equipment are inadequate to provide for
proper crime prevention methods and criminal investigations, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills does not have sufficient financial resources
to provide its law enforcement agency with this manpower and equipment, and
WHEREAS, the additional manpower and equipment will allow the City of Richland
Hills Law Enforcement Agency to increase its capability in the basic function
of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the best interest of the
City of Richland Hills will be served by participation in this program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
1. The City of Richland Hills desires to continue its Crime Prevention/
Major Crimes Unit.
2. The City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice Division is
. providing 20~ funding for the fifth year of this program.
3. The City understands that at the end of the final year all future
funding for this program will be assumed by the City.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS THE 27th DAY OF MARCH 1989, at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Richland Hills.
