• A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LOCAL DANGEROUS DRUG CONTROL UNIT
WHEREAS, the current manpower and equipment are inadequate to provide for
proper narcotics control and investigations, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills does not have sufficient financial resources
to provide its law enforcement agency with this manpower and equipment, and
WHEREAS, the additional manpower and equipment will allow the City of Richland
Hills Law Enforcement Agency to increase its capability in the basic function
of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the best interest of the
City of Richland Hills will be eserved by participating in this program.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
THAT
1. The City of Richland Hills desires to participate in the development
of a local dangerous drug control unit.
2. The City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice Division is
providing 100 funding for the first year of this project with
the exception of equipment which requires an equal match.
• 3. The City also understands that this program is to continue for a
period of five years and that the Texas Criminal Justice Division
will provide funding based on a twenty (20) percent annual reduction
for this five year period.
4. The City further understands that at the end of the final year
all future funding for this program will be assumed by the City.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 27th day of MARCH 1989, at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Richland Hills.
