Passed July 11, 1949 Approved July_13 1949 Lawrence Lutkewitte, Lawrence LUtkewitte Presid ent of the Council M&7 or Attust: City 'i Jerk #5178 AN ORDINANCE of the Oity of Jefferson, Missouri., vacating add dis- continuing as a public thoroughfare, all that of an unknbiwn street described as: A part of Lots 106,107, 112,113 of Wocdcrest Addition, more particularly described as beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 107 in said Addition; thence westerly along the northerly line of Union Avenue, 15 feet; thence inortherly parallel with the easter- ly line of Lots lo7 and 106 for a distance of 100 feet; thence east- erly parallel to Union Avenue, 30 feet; thence southerly parallel to the westerly line of Lots 112 and 113 for a distance of 100 feet to the northerly line of Union Avenue; then6e, westerly 15 feet to the point-of beginning, and authorizing and directing the Mayor of said ity to execute all necessary instruments to the owners of the adjac&nt lot to and for said portion of said street so vacated, as the parties entitled thereto, as shown by the record title to said adjacent and abutting property, and declaring a reverter to the respective owners of said abutting real estate. WHEREAS.. It has been shown to the V ity Council of the City of Jefferson., Missouri that the ownerg of the abutting property on said street., 'have used., improved and occupied, and are now using and occupying said abutting and adjacent land as described above so that said portion of said street has ceased to be of any use or benefit as a public thououghfare and that it would not inaxnveninece the public of the citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue and vacate said portion of said street as a public thoroughfare, therefore: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON., MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, It is hereby declared that the `pity Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and exp6diant to vacate and discontinue that portion of said street described as: A part of Lots 106., 1070 112, 113 of Wooderest Addition, more particularly dexribed as beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 107 in said Addition; thence westerly along the northerly line of Union Avenue., 15 feet; thence northerly parallel with the easterly line of Lots 107 and 106 for a distance of 100 feet; t�-ence parallel to the easterly line of Lots 112 and 113 for a distance of 100 feet to the northerly line of Union Avenue; thence westerly 15 feet to the point of beginning. All the owners of the property and adjacent lot abutting on and adjacent to said street having petition&d the said City Council to vacate and discontinue said Street as a part oft he public thoroughfare of said City; said protion of said street is hereby forever vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare and the power and right to reverbion of said street to the adjacent and abutting property owners, as is provided by the Statutes of the State of Missouri , is hereby fully confirmed and
