Itinerant restat,rant. - The term "itinerant restaurant" shall ,rcoan one o,)(-,,rating for a tc�nporary period in connection with a fair, carnival , circus , public exhibition, or other similar -:athcring. C . D. Utensils. - "Utensils.1 ghnll Include any Atchenware , table- ware , glass ware, cutlery, utnisllo, containers, or other equipment with which food or drink comes in contact during storage , preparation, or serving. E. Health Officer* - 4--ho, term "health officer" shall mean the Health Officer of the Uity of Jefferson or his authorized re-presenta- tive. F. Person. - The word "person" shall mean person, firm, corpora- tion, or association. SECTION 3. Placarding or public _dis:-)lay of grade notice. Every restaurant shall display at all times, in a place designated by the health officer, a notice approved by the health officer, stating the grade of the establishment. SEUTIO]i 4. Examination and c-,,ndemnation of unwholesome or adulterated food. or drink. - Samples of food , drink., and other sub- stances may be taken and examined by the health officer as often as may be necessary for the detection of unwholesomeness or adulterat16n. The health officer may condemn an(- forbid the sale of, or cause to be removed or destroyed, ariv food or drink iflhich is ilnl.,holwscme or x adulterated. SECT 1017 5. Inspection of restaurants. - Al least once every 6 months the health officer shall inspect restaurant within the City of Jefferson. In case the health officer discovers the viola- tion of any item of sa.,itation reqi�ired for the grade then held, lie shall make a second Inspection after the lapse of such time as he deems necessary for the defect to be reiiddied and the second spection shall be used in r!,etermining compliance with tho grade re- q,Uireyrients Of t'- 1S Drdil'I'Mce. ­ny violation of the sEcrie item of this ordinance on such second ins section shall call for immediate decxading or si.ispension of -)orildt. Toilet facilities. - Every restaurant shall be pro- vided !-ith a0oquate and conveniently located toilet facilities for its employees , conf orm.bng t-,iith the ordinances of the City* of Jefferson. In restaurants hereafter constructed toilet rooms shall not o )en dir- ectly into ainyI room in which food, drink, or utensils are Dandled or stored. The doors of all toiletx rooms shall be self-closing. Toilet rooms shall be kept in a clean condition, in good repair, and well li,:hted and ventilated. handwashing si,;ns shall be ;posted in each toilet room used by employees. In case privies or earth closets are permitted and used, they shall be separate from the restaurant build- ing, and shall be of a sanitary type constructed and operated in conformit;r witht the standards of the Livision of health .
