A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS REQUESTING THE
U.S. POSTAL SERVICE TO KEEP OPEN A LOCAL
CONTRACT STATION.
WHEREAS, the Richland Hills Contract Postal Station provides
worthwhile postal service to the citizens of our City; and
WHEREAS, it has been scheduled for closing; and
WHEREAS, the Postal Unit designated to serve Richland Hills
is located many miles from this City and will present a
hardship to our businesses and to our many elderly citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS:
THAT, the U. S. Postal Service is hereby requested to
consider keeping open a local contract station for postal
• service in our City.
AND IT IS SO RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS MEETING IN REGULAR SESSION THIS 27TH DAY OF
NOVEMBER, 1989.
PRESENTED AND PASSED on this the 27th day of November, 1989
by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Richland Hills.
