• RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
AND ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD FOR
SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION
WHEREAS, a special election has been scheduled in the City of Richland Hills
for Saturday, January 20, 1990, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock a. m. and 7:00
o'clock p.m., at the City Hall, 3200 Diana Drive, Richland Hills, Texas, on the
question whether Mayor W. H. (Bill) Vincent, Jr., and Council Members Michael
Logan and Gary Bode should be removed from their offices by recall; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, now desires to
take official action to appoint the Election Judges and Absentee Ballot Board for
said election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The following persons shall be the Officers who shall conduct the election:
Presiding Judge: RUSSELL MILLER

• Alternate Presiding Judge: OLA JAMES

The Presiding Judge shall appoint not less than two nor more than five qualified
election clerks to serve and assist in conducting said election; provided, that if the
Presiding Judge actually serves as expected, the Alternate Presiding Judge shall
serve as one of such clerks.
2. The Presiding Judge, Alternate Presiding Judge and such election clerks as
are appointed by the Presiding Judge shall also serve as the Absentee Ballot Board
for such election.
3. The City Secretary shall deliver copies of this Resolution to the Presiding
Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge appointed herein not later than the twentieth
day after the date of this Resolution, which copies so delivered shall constitute
notice to the Presiding Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge of their appointment as
provided by law.

4. The City Secretary shall preserve the original of this Resolution for the
period set forth by law for preserving precinct election records.
