HomeMy Public PortalAboutPCM 2013-10-23 FRASER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES DATE: Wednesday October 23, 2013 MEETING: Planning Commission Regular Meeting PLACE: Fraser Town Hall Board Room PRESENT Commission: Commissioners: Chair Jean Wolter, Steve Sumrall, Katie Soles, Vesta Shapiro and Peggy Smith Staff: Town Planner, Catherine Trotter Others: None Chairperson called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. 1. Roll Call: 2. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of September 25, 2013 Commissioner Soles moved, and Commissioner Smith seconded the motion to approve the minutes. Motion carried: 5-0. 3. Open Forum: 4. Public Hearing/Action Items: a. Continued Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Code Amendments Commissioner Sumrall moved, and Commissioner Shapiro seconded the motion to open the Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Code Amendments. Motion carried: 5-0. Proof of publication was re-entered into the record. Trotter discussed the proposed zoning amendments as outlined in the ordinance. PC discussed some changes to the Business Zone amendments deleting reference to special events and adding some language requiring temporary vendors to collect all applicable taxes. Commissioner Sumrall moved, and Commissioner Smith seconded the motion to close the Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Code Amendments. Motion carried: 5-0. Commissioner Soles moved, and Commissioner Shapiro seconded the motion to approve PC Resolution 2013-10-1 with the condition that the Ordinance be amended by deleting reference to special events in Sec. 16-1-40 under the definition of temporary and/or seasonal proposals, uses and events and deleting reference to special events in Sec. 16-4-110 (1)and adding "and all applicable State and Local taxes shall be collected"to Sec. 16-4-110 (1)(c). Motion carried: 5- 0. 5. Other The Planning Commission meeting for November has been re-scheduled for November 13, 2013. Page 2 of 2 6.
