HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD05311 4 iT the roadway of Binder Drive in the Block from the north end of the pavement on Binder Drive to the north curb line of 'akview and it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been dmdq duly published aveording to the law for more than seven (7) con- secutive insertions, in the Post Tribune - P a daily news- paper., printed and FDublished in the City of Jefferson., Missouri., and,a majority of the resident owners of property along said section XS of Zinder Drive liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a majority of the fron t feet on said Binder Drive intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said contemplated improvement. SECTION 2. That the said road of Binder Drive, be paved with cement concrete material in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed in the m office of the City Clerk., and that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment a- gainst the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as prov&ded In the City Chapter, and in Section 764 765,766 and 767 of Chapter 13, of the Revised Ordinances of the 6itypof Jefferson, Missouri , 1941, and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri , 1949, and amendments thereto. SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to ad- vertise for bids for this improvement. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall effect and be in force from ad after its passage and approval. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HEFFERSOB, AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and pproved on June 5th., 1950 necessary to pave with penetration bituminious mac- adam the roadway of Lafayette Street in the block from the center of the intersection of Lafayette Street and Atchison Street to the center of the intersection of Lafayette Street and Franklin Street and it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly published according to the law for more thanseven (7) con- secutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune a daily newspaper , printed and published in the My of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident pwners of property along said section of Lafayette Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and xkxx�m who own a majority of the fron feet on said "afayette Street intended to be improved, have not filed with _the City (;Ierk a protest against said contemplated improvement.
