HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution No. 002-90 02-06-1990 RESOLUTION NO. 2-90 • A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS INDICATING ITS DESIRE TO SUBMIT DECISIONS REGARDING MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RICHLAND HILLS POLICE STATION TO A PUBLIC VOTE. WHEREAS, the Richland Hills Police Station is in a serious state of deterioration; and WHEREAS, the building does not meet standards established by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards; and WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has appointed a Citizen's Building Committee to review the building needs of the Richland Hills Police Department; and WHEREAS, the Richland Hills City Council recognizes the significance to the community of any decision regarding improvements to, or replacement of, this facility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS THAT, it is the position of the City Council to place on a ballot any decision regarding major improvements to the Richland Hills Police Station to allow the citizens of the City to determine the • nature and scope of any major improvement.
