SECTION 2. All ordinances and 3arts of rodinarices in con&.
flict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

All CRDINANCE TO AMEND SEMTIONS 1066, 1067 and 1070, REVISED ORDINAi;
DICES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1941.. REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION,
INSTALLATION AND MAINTEi�jANCE OF 8II311S.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUI4CIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Sections 1066 and 1067 of the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1941, be and the
same are hereby amended by adding the words "as hereinafter described
in Sections 1068 and 10691' after the word "sign" and before the word
"shall" as the same appear in each of said sections, sot hat as
amended said sections shall read as follows:
"Section 1066. Permits. "Iny person, firm or corporation
erecting a sign as hereinafter described in Sections 1068 arid 1069 xk
shall first obtain a permit therefor deom the Electrical Inspector
and. pay a fee as hereinafter prescribed. It shall be the duty of the
Electrical Inspector to inppect all signs for which permits are
issued for the purpose of determining whether they conform to the
begjUr.binentsasf this ordinance. It shall further be his duty to
make such inspections as shall be necessary to determine whether
such signs are properly and safely maintained. All permits are mere
licenses and revocable at any time by the City Council. .
"Section 1067. Requirements applicable to all signs. All
signs as hereinafter described in Sections 1068 arid 1069 shall be
structurally strong and free from hazard to pedestrians and con-
structed of non-combustible materials. ''uch signs, if electrical,
shall conform to the Electrical ode and its amendments now or here-
after made. "
Asection 2. That Section 1070 of the Revised Ordinances of
the City of Jefferson, 1941, be amended to read as follows:
"Section 1070. Exceptions. All signs of less than thirty-
two (32) square feet in area, and weighing less than twenty-five
(25) pounds, and erected at a height of less than eight (8) feet
above the ground, and all signs painted on class, wood or other
stationary parts of buildings are exempt from the provisions of this
ordinance. "
Section 3. this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage arid approval.
