AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, REGULATING SIGNS
ON PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PUBLIC STREETS AND OTHER
PUBLIC PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Municipal Code of the City of Temple
City is hereby amended by adding thereto Sections 4267, 4267.1
and 4267.2, which sections should now read as follows:
"4267. SIGNS. No person shall paint, post, at-
tach or affix any hand bill, dodger, notice, sign
or advertisement upon or to any bridge, fence,
building or other property belonging to the City
of Temple City, or any tree situated in any. street
of said city; and no person shall deface, mar or
disfigure any bridge, fence, building or other
structure belonging to said city, or any tree situ-
ated in any city street of said city, by painting,
cutting, scratching or breaking the same or attach-
ing or affixing anything thereto.
"4267.1. SAME. No person shall erect, construct,
place or maintain any signboard, billboard, sign
or advertisement in or on any city street of the
City of Temple City.
"4267.2. SAME. Nothing in this ordinance contained
shall be conrued to prohibit the erection or the
placing in any city street of mile posts, mile
boards, guide boards or guide posts, or the paint-
ing, posting, attaching or affixing of warning
signs, notices or sign boards upon bridges, fences,
buildings or other structures belonging to the
City of Temple City, under authority of the City
Council thereof."
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held this 24th day of
April , 1961, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Buchan, Dickason, Merritt, Fitzjohn
NOES: Councilmen: None
