AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Uo vehicles with a tank having a capacity of iiore
than one thousand (1,000) ghllons shall, when said tank containe
gasoline, ker -)s6ne., oil or other inflammable or expl;sive liquids,
be driven operated pulled or nropelled over or along, the streets
of the pity of .'efferson , Missouri ,, with the e-ception of U.S.
Highway No. 50, U. U. lfir-hway I:o. 54 and U. S, Highway No. 63,, and
the routes orescriiaed below:
Route 14o. 1. Across Bolivar I)treet to FcCarty Street, across
VcCarty ".treot to 3roRdway Street, across Broadway Street to
I-luklin Street, across "iiniclin Street to T.'Jadison Street, and across
Vadison Street to City Limits and return.
Route 1,o. 2. From %,ity limits ( south) on 1v'Iadison Street
to Miller Street, across 1, iller Street to Adams Street, across
Adams Street to lvicCai,ty Street, across r,"cCarty Street to pity
limits (east ) and return.
Section 2. Exceptions. The Driver of any such vehicle
may leave the routes specified in the above Section for the purpose of
unloading or securing repairs to the vehicle , but only bc.,tween the hours
of sunrise acid sunset, and in the most direct route from the
authorized route above to the place of such unloading or repairs and
retiirn. If it is necessary for a-.%y such driver to leave the established
routes at any other time or for any other )uroose., 1)remiissionx must
first be had from t'ne Police Department or Fire Department of the
City of Jefferson, I, issouri .
Section 3. PENALTY. Anyone convicted of a violation of any
of the provisions of t,•is ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
from and after its passage and approval.
