Whereas'. it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on February 5th, 1951 necessary to nave with Penetration bituminious macadam the roadway of r'amela Street in the block from the center of the intersection of ?amela Street and Linden Drive to the center of the intersection of 2amela Street and Swift ' s Highway aiad it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly published according to the law for - ore than seven (7) consecutive insertions, in the Post Tribune -, a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson, E ssouri , and a majority of the resident pwners of property alo:jg said s ection of Pamela Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a ma iority of the front feet on said Pamela Street intended to be improved, have not filed with the ^ity Clerk a protest against said contemplated improvement. SECTIOL, 2. That the said road of Pamela Street from the ceter of the intersection of Pamela Street aid Linden Drive to the center of the intersection of Pamela Street and SwiftA Highway in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the City Lnrineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment againsy t1:e real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as pro- vided in the City Charter, and in Section 764,765,766, and. 767 of Chanter 13, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, V.; ssouri ,1941, arid of the Devised Statutes of the State oi' P,'.issouri , 19419 acid amendments thereto. SECTION 3. The Uity Engineer is hereby instructed to adver- tise for bids for this improvement.
