BE IT ORDAIIZED BY THE M.MCIL OF THE CITY CIF 0EPIFERSCli, AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. Vihoreas, it was heretofore found and declared by
the City Council) by its resolution, passed and approved on March
5th, 1951 necessary to pave with penetration bituminious macadam
the roadway of Dougl!,s Drive in the block from the roadway of
Douglas Drive in the block from the center of the intersection of
Douglas Lrive arid the end of the pavement near the north end of
Douglas Place and it appearing to the City Council that said
resolution has been duly published according to the laws for more
than seven (7) consecutive insertions,, in the Post-Tribune, a daily
newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson.Missouri,
and a Majority --,f the resident owners of property along said sec-
tion of Douglas Drive liable for the costs of said improvement, and
who own a maiority of the front feet on said Douglas Drive intended
to be ir(,proved,, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest
against said contemplated improvement.
SECTION 2. That the said road of Doi.iC.las Drive between the
curb line., from the intersection of Douglas Drive and 3olton Drive
to the center of the intersection of Lcuglas Drive and the end of
the pavement near the north line of boug
glas Places in accordance
with the plans and specifications submitted by the Uity Engineer
and filed in the office of the city Clerk, and that the total cost
of the work aforesaid shall '-)e charged and levied as a special
assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said
contemplated improvement , and special tax bills shall be issued
therefor, as provided in the City Charter., and in Section 764.,765.,
766 and 767 of Chapter 13, of the Revised Ordinances of the Ulty of
Jefferson., V-ssouri., 1941, and of the Revised Statutes of the State
of Y.Issouri , 1949, and amendments thereto.
SECTION 3. The Gity Engineer is hereby instructed to ad-
vertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and adproval.
