Section 1. That Section 1 of' Ordinance 114'o. 5364 of the 1;1ty
of Jefferson, V'issouri , relating to the roLiilatioii of !-irking on
Street between the Intorseetion of said street with West

Ashley Street and the alley north of said intersection be, and the
' same is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof a now section, to be
known as Section 1. be :nacted, to read as follows:

benefits to said eligible em;�loirees and officials of t!;e City o:!'
Jefferson, Missouri , in the form prepared by the State Af-,cncy and
hereby approved and adopted by the City Council of this City, whicl,
plan and agreement are to become effective upon approval thereof b the
State Agency, and are further authorized and directed to execute a ee-
ments and modifications and annedments thereof with said St..ate Age cy,
providing for the extension of said benefits to said employees and
officials as set forth in said plan and agreemont, as provided for 'n
Section 1 hereof, said plan and agreement to provide that said ex-
tension of benefits is to be effective on January 1, 10-51.
Section 3. Commencing on the first clay od the month followi
i the date of the paaroval of the plan and as_re:ement of this City by
the State Agnncy , there shall be deducted from the wages of all
employees and officials of the City of Jefferson. Y� ssouri, to
whom the benefits of said system of Federal Old-Age and !�urvivbrs
I surance are extended, by virtue of the plan and agreement herein-
before provided for, the amount of each of said employees ' and off-
icialst contributions, as cieterr-ined by the applicable State and
Federal Laws and b-; said plan zndcgreement, the af: negate amount
of Said deductions to be said into the Contributions Fund created
by Senate Committee Substitute for Senate Bill ho. 3 of the 66th
General Assembly of the State of I:' .ssouri; provided, however, that
from the first pa-,orient of wages r.ade to each of said employees and
officials after the benefits of said system have been extended to
such employees and 000icials, there shall be deducted a si.,m equal
to the amount which would have been hue and payable from each
of said employees and officials had said extension of benefits
been provided and effective on January 1, 1.951.
Section 4. Conmencing on the first day of the month follow-
ing the date of the approval of the plan and agreement of this
City by., the State Agency, there is hereby authorized to be appro-
priated from General Revenue Fund, the Vehiicle Fund, the Traffic
and Vehicle Fund and the Airprot fund of the City of Jefferson,
Ylssouri, and there is, and shall be, appropriated, the sun: or stuns
of money necessary to pay the contributions of the City of Jefferso
.NSssouri, which shall be due and payable by virtue of the extension
of the benefits of the Federal Old-Age and survivors Insurance Syst
to the eligible employees arid officials of said `'ity, said sum or
sums of miaoney to be paid into the Contributions Fund created by
Senate Committee Substitute for Senate I3ill Ito. 3 of the 66th Gener 1
Assembly of the State of ]!"ssouri; provided, however, that in
making the first payment to said Contributions i und, after the
benefits of said system have been extendeed to such employees and
officials, said first payment shall include a sum equal to the
amoi„nt which would have been due and payable had said extension of
benefits been provided ande ffective on January 1, 1951. The Funds
from which said appropriation is made will, at all times, be suf-
ficient to pay the contributions of the City by this Section directe
to be paid into said Contributions Fund.
Section 5. The City of Jefferson, Y, ssouri, fron and after
the approval of the plan and agrce?iqent of this City by the State
Agency, shall fully comply with, an(! shall keep such records, make
such reports and provide such rr:et. .ods of admi:-:istration of said plan
end agreemcrit as may be required by all applicable State and Federal,
ilaws, rules andre`ulations, now and hereafter in effect with respect ,
to the extension of the benefits of the Federal Old-Af;e and lur-
Ivivors insurance System to the employees And officials of this Cit.%, .
