AN ORDINANCE, of the �`ity of Jefferson, Missouri, vacating arid
discontiiat „g as apublic thoroughfare all that )art of the 20 fo t
public alley on the north side of i.c,lots 179 and 182 ir,clusive,� rr
the City of Jefferson, I: , ssouri, being more aarticularly describ d as:
Being the easterly 278.3 feet of the public alley north of State
Street, lying betwee„ Adams acrd oacksor, Streets, as shown on the
original plat of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , and authorizir,
a„d directing the P,iayor of the City of Jefferson, Vissouri, to
execute all necessary instruments to the ovrrrers of the adjacent ot;,.
to a„d for said alley so vacated, as the p artier entitled theret ,
as shown by the record title to said ad jacec,t acid Fr butting prope qty
a„d declaring a reverter to the respective owners of said real e tate.
WHEREAS; It has been shown to the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
M, ssouri, that the owners of the abutting property on the 20 fop I public
alley on the north side of irrlots 179 and 132 inclusive, in the I ity
of Jefferson, Missouri, being more !particularly described as: Be ng
the easterly 278.3 feet of the public alley north of State 6tree ,
lying between Adams a„d Jackson Streetx, as show,. oicthe original
plat of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , have used, improved and
occupied, aid are now using a„d occupying said abutting a„d adji cent
land so that said pmrtion of said alley has ceased to be of apt u e
or benegit as a public thoroughfare arid that it would not irrcon-
verrience the public or the citizens of the �'ity of Jefferson,
Missouri , to discontinue and vacate said alley as a public thorn gh-
fare, therefore: !
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C OUrvCIL OF THE CITY OF REFFERSON, J
b.ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the City council of the (�i y
of Jefferson, N . ssouri , deems it „ecessary and expibdient to vaca e
and discontinue the 20 foot public alley orr the north side of in ots
179 and 182 inclusive, ir, the City of Jefferson, M: ssouri , being
more particularly dewcribed as: Being the easterly 278.3 feet of the
public alley north of State Street, lying between Adams and Jackson
Streets., as shown on the original plat of the ity of Jefferson,
1irlssouri. All the owners of the property an ad jacer,t lots abutt ng
orr an adjacent to said alley having petitioned the said City Cougicil
to vacate ad discontinue said alley as apart of the public thorough-
fare of said City, a„d said alley is hereby forever vacated and is-
contir,ued as a public thoroughfare and the power arid right of re i
version of said alley to the adjacent arid abutting property owne s,
as is provided by Statues of the State of Missouri, is hereby fu ly
confirmed arid approved, arid the Mayor of this "ity is hereby aut orized
and directed to execute a„d deliver all proper arid sufficient wr tings,
or i„strumer,ts for, orr behald of ir, the name of the `'ity to ful y

are hereby repealed.
