i AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC ST THE INTERSECTION OF ATCHISON ANDI
BROADWAY STREETS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AND PROVIDING PENALTY FO
VIOLATION.
BE IT. ORDAINED BY TILE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF J.'_FFERSON,, -MISSOTJ11.,
AS F OLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the driver of any veh cle
to fail to bring the same to a full and complete stop on Broadway
Street before entering the intersection of aaid street with Atchiso
Street.
SECTION 2. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the driver of any
ve4icle to fnilEtb';bringcthe same to a full and complete stop on
Atchison Street before entering the intersection of said street wit
Broadway Street.
SECTION 3. 'nyone convicted of a violation of any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 4. All ordinances of parts of ordinances in conflict with t is
ordinance are h eveby repealed.
SECTION 5. this ordinance shall t ake effect and be in force from an
after its passage and approval.

OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELATING TO THE TRAFFIC '.'OLTCE14EN IN THE CT
OF JF..FFERSON, BY DELETING FROM SAID SECTIU'. 17-THE'SiDRDS AND FIGURES
"SIX (6)" and substituting in lieu thereof the words and figures "N NE
(9)tr. 1.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOU I,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance no. 5448 of the City of Jeff rson
Yissouri, relating to the traffic policemen in the City of Jefferao ,
by deleting from line of said' Section 1 the words and figures "SIX
(6)" and substituting in lieu thereof the words and figures "Nine (9 tt,
so t hat. as amended said Section 1 shall read as follows: :
23ECTION 1.. There shall be nine (9) policemen in the traffic Departm nt
of the �'ity of Jefferson. No person or persons shall be appointed tp the
office of traffic policeman who is not an able-bodied, sober and 4 s-
treet man, and who is not a qualified voter of the City of Jefferso ,
and: a resident thereof, for at least one (1 ) year next preceeding h s
appointment. 'hey sgall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of
a :majority of the members of the City Council for a period xf not e -
eeeding six (6) months, provided, however, that the i�iayor may remov
the traffic policemen at any time at will, and provided, that befor"
entering unpon the discharge of their duties, the traffic policemen
shall take and subscribe to an oath of affirmation as is required bl
the sharter of the City of Jefferson for City Officers. j
