AN ORDINA4 CE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDI ANCE N^. 4779 OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON PROVIDING THAT THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF
i JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , MAY APPOINT SEVI,?'TEEN PATROLMEN OR POLICE-
j MEN IN THE SAME MANNER AS NOW PROVIDED BY LAW, BY DELETING IN
SAID SECTION 1 THE WORD "SEVENTEEN AND SUBSTITUTING IN LIEU THERE-
OF THE WORD " NINETEEN".
BE IT ORDA11TED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 0" THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, �
MISSOURI, AS F OLLOWS;
SECTION 1. That section 1 of Ordinance No. 4779 of the City
of Jefferson, Yi., ssouri, providing t;ist the Chief of Police of .the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, may appoint seventeens patrolmen . or
policemen in the sane manner as now provided by law, by deleting
from said Section 1 -the word "seventeen" and substituting in-lieu
thereof the word "nineteen", so that as amended, said section still
read as follows:
"Section 1. Hereafter the City of Jefferson, Missouri, shall
have nineteen regular patrolmen or policemen, which patrolmen or
policemen shall be appointed and confirmed.6 is now provided by

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force from and after
its passage and approval, and the patrolmen temporarily appointed
heretofore to bring the nnmber of patrolmen in conformity herewith
shall receive the same pay and allowances of regular policemen
from and after their temporary appointment.

AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAINSTEACH LOT
OR PIECE OF GROUND LYING BETWEEN AND SITUATE WITHIN TILE 30UNDS
OF SEWER DISTRICT IJO. 80 "A" in the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
in the name of the owner or owners thereof for constructing- and
completing sewers therein.
BE IT ORDAINED 3Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS
( SECTION 1. It appearing from the written report of the- City
Engoneer, the officer in charge of the work of construction and
completing sewers, in Sewer District No.80 "A" in the City of
Jefferson.. Missouri, heretofore submitted by said officer to .'the
City Uouncil and approved and filed by it on this 9th day of
( June, . 1952, at a regular meeting of the City Counc he on *this
i date, that the total cost of construction and completing of said
sewer as constructed, amounts to the sum of $4574.00 , and it
further appearing that said report of said ot?rc-er di apportion
said costs against the several lots or pieces of ground in said

i of the public highways, ant further appearing that the total
