AN ORDINANCE providing for the repairing, surfacing and resurfacing
by the City of Jefferson, Missouri , of Vetter Lane, from High St eet to
to Miller Street and Buchanan Street, from Hough Street to the n rth
line of lot 1 Block 14 Renn Addition, all of said improvements to
be within the limits of sprinkling,`oiling, surfacing and resurf cing
of District Number Four (4) of the ity of Jefferson, Missouri, ind
the issuance of Special Tax Bills, not exceeding silty cents (60 per
front foot, aga nst the property fronting or bordering on said s reet
to pay for said improvements9
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COIJIJCbIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MIS OURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the ('ity Council hereby finds and declares that it is
,necessary to repair, surface and resurface at a cost riot exceedirig
sixty cents (60) per front foot of Metter Lane', from High Street to
Mlller• Street and Buchanan Street„ from Hough .Street to the nortli
line of lot 1 Block 14 Renn Addition, all of said improvements to be

3'` `within the limits of sprinkling, oiling, repairing, surfacing an
resurfacing district number Vour (4 ) of the City of Jefferson, M ssouri,
all of said work to be done according to the plans and specific' tions
filed with the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds anddeclares that it is d-
visable and for the best interest of the owners of property to b
charged with the cost of said work, that the said work shall be done
by the Citym without letti g a contract therefor, and that the City
Street Commissioner is 1-ereby directed to purchase the necessary
materials and employ the re cessary labor for the performance of aid
work, and shall superintent the same and keep an accurate accaunt of
the cost thereof, and do said work under the supervision of the
City Engineer.
SECTION 3. That the cost of such repairing, surfacing and resurfacing
�. shall be defrayed by a special t ax, bt6l_be assessed in favor of t
City, on the adjroining property fronting or bordering on the streets
where such work is done, in proportion that the lenear number of feet
of each lotnfronting or bordering thereon bears to the total num er
of linear feet if all the property chargeable with the tax aforesaid
in the territory embraced within this ordinance. Special tax Bills
shall be issued, evidencing such assessment, and shall become liEnS
of said property, and shallbe issued and enfoc6d as provided by law.
SECTION 4. The cost of such repairing, surfacing and resur"acing shall
not,. exeeed the sum of sixty cents (60) per front foot , per annim ,
upon property abutting upon the streets aforesaid.
SECTION 5. All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in coriflict'w th
' this Ordinance are insofar and they conflict herewith, are he' reb, re-
Pealed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
