AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTABLISHIN "�
THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON# FOR THE YEAR, 195
BE IT ORDA NED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSOPT, MISS URIS
AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following
rate on all real estate and personal property within the limits o the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the cons i-
tution or the Laws of the State of Missouri, as shown by the asse sment
book of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , for the year 1952, and o all
Merchan#s and Manufacturers statements, made as provided by law.
FIRST- For the purpose of paying all current expenses of tie
City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the fiscal ,year, the sum of 65
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECOND- -"'or the purpose of paying interest on the outstand ng
bonds of the City of Jefferson, M,'ssouri, and for the purpose of
creating a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds of the Ciy
of Jefferson, Missouri , the sum of 25 cents on the one hund ed
dollar valuation.
THIRD- For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a F ee
Public Library in the City of Jefferson, M, ssouri , the sum of 10
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
FOURTH- For the purpose of establishing and maintaining Fr )e
Public Parks in the City of Jefferson, M, ssouri, the sum of 20
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
FIFTH- 1'or the purpose of creating a F''iremen t s Retirement
ystem for firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of
5 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to e az se to be
extended in the appropriate columns opposite each item of taxable
property on the assessment book, as returned by the Ansessor of e
City of Jefferson, Missouri, and corrated by the County Board of
Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid by each person as p o- `
vided by Section 1 of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. `his Ordinance shall t ake effect and be in force
from and after its' passage and approval.

SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofvve found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed an(,* approved on

the roadway of Donald Avenue in the block from the center of the
