AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE
OF A COMMUTER FERRY BOAT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ( "Borough ") has solicited bids for the purchase of
a commuter ferry boat; and
WHEREAS, on November 23, 2021, the Borough received one (1) bid proposal for the
purchase of the required ferry boat in the amount of Two Million Two Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,250,000) including Bid Alternate #1; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body desires to award a contract to Port Imperial Ferry
Corp. d/b /a NY Waterway ( "NY Waterway ") , the sole bidder for the commuter ferry, in
accordance with the bid specifications recommendations of the Borough's commuter
feny`consultants and Director of Engineering.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the above - referenced bid proposal from NY Waterway is
hereby accepted and the appropriate Borough Officials, including
the Borough's Law Director, are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with NY Waterway, and/or take any necessary actions to
implement and effectuate the purchase of the requested commuter
ferry boat, in accordance in all respects with the request for
proposals and bid on same.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on December 10, 2021.
