ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmember—Chavez, Vizcarra, Yu, Man, Sternquist ABSENT: Councilmember -None ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Murphy, Attorney Katy Suttrop, Deputy City Clerk Nunez, City Clerk Kuo, Administrative Services Director Paragas, Community Development Director Reimers 3. PUBLIC COMMENT —None 4. CLOSED SESSION A. Purpose: Conference with Labor Negotiator Authority: Government Code Section 54957.6 Agency Representative: City Attorney and City Manager Employee Group: Temple City Employee Association, Unrepresented General, Part -Time Employees B. Purpose: Conference with Legal Counsel —Anticipated Litigation Authority: Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) — two cases Matter: Case 1: Receipt of letter from Californians for Homeownership regarding Housing Element Case 2: Receipt of email communication from California Department of Housing and Community Development regarding ADU Ordinance Representative: City Attorney C. Purpose: Anticipated Litigation City Council Minutes May 17, 2022 Page 2 of 2 Potential Cases: Authority: Representative: One (1) Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) City Attorney City Council recessed to closed session at 6:01 p.m. City Council reconvened with all members present at 7:30 p.m. City Council recessed to a break at 7:30 p.m. and reconvened with all members present at 7:41 p.m. CLOSED SESSION STATEMENT City Attorney Murphy reported that City Council met in Closed Session to discuss Item A "Conference with Labor Negotiator", City Council was briefed and there was no reportable action; City Council met in Closed Session to discuss Item B and there is no reportable action; City Council met in Closed Session to discuss Item C "Conference with Legal Counsel —Anticipated Litigation", City Council was briefed and there is no reportable action. 5.
