constitute the basis far' an Increase in the rate of farej, provided,
however, that notbing herein shall deprive the City of any rights

Application for an increase In the rate df fare may be made
by the Coipany In writing to the City Council- ., who, shall w1 thin
ten (10) days after receipt of such application grant a hearing
thereon and shall within a reasonable time thereafter fix the
rate of fare in accordance with the provisions hereof.
In determining what shall be 6 reasonable rate of fare the
City Council shall have the Dower to inspect the books of the
CompRny and to compel the attendance of witnesses at said hearing.
The "ompany shall have the right to appeal from any decisior
of the �'ity Council to any court of competent jurisdicticn.
This ordinance sha.11 be In full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval .
