AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING ITS INTENTION AND DESIRE
TO HAVE CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES
ANNEXED TO THE CONSOLIDATED COUNTY FIRE PROTEC-
TION DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY.DOES.ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of. the City of. Temple City here-
by finds that said City has within it certain territory hereinafter
described which is adjacent to the Consolidated County Fire Protection
District, and that the boundaries of said territory as hereinafter set
forth were previously approved for description by the County Boundary
Commission on August 10, 1960. The City Council further finds that
on May 23, 1961, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors by order
approved the proposed annexation of said territory as hereinafter
described located within the boundaries of the City of. Temple City
of the Sixth Class to the Consolidated County. Fire Protection District
pursuant to a previous request of the City Council of the City of
Temple City.
SECTION 2. That said boundaries of said territory entirely
within the City of. Temple City and proposed to be annexed to the Con -
solidated County Fire.P.rotection District are .as follows:
Those portions of Lots 7 and 8, Tract No. 6561, per map re -.
corded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35, of. Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, described as
follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7, Tract No.
6561, per map recorded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35, of Maps
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence
easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 7 to a point
37.00 feet westerly of the northeast corner of said lot;
thence southeasterly in a direct line to a point in the
westerly line of Baldwin Avenue 75 feet wide - (said westerly line
being the westerly line of the easterly 20 feet of Lots 7 and
8 of said tract), said point lying 17.00 feet southerly of the
previously mentioned northerly line; thence southerly along
said westerly line of Baldwin Avenue to a point in the souther-
ly line of Lot 8 of said Tract No. 6561; thence westerly along
said southerly line to the southwest corner of said Lot 8;
thence northerly along the westerly lines of Lots 7 and 8 to
the point ot beginning.
Total area of annexation .001;sq. mi.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City ot Temple City by -
and on behalf of said City hereby declares its intention and desire to
have said territory embraced and included within said district and
said City does hereby declare that said territory as described be an-
nexed to said District.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be posted in the manner requir-
ed by law, and said Ordinance shall;take effect 30 days after final
passage. The City Clerk is further directed to file a certified copy
of this Ordinance with the Secretary of State with instructions to the
Secretary of State to hold this Ordinance 30 days from the date of the
passage of said Ordinance and to thereadter file the same and report
to the City Clerk when it was filed; and the City Clerk is further
directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County, the County within which said City
and territory are located.
