9 and 10, Cole County Recorder's Office, and more parti-
cularly &3crlbed as: Beginning where the west line of
Broadway Street Intersects the south line of Affolter
Lano; thence south along the west line nf Froadway
Street, 53.02 feet; thence in a northeasterly direction
on a 470 foot radius curve 70. 3 feet to where the same
intersects the south line of Affolter Lane; thence west
along and with the south line of Affolter Lane 46.25 feet
to the point of beginning;
that said nortion of "roadway Street is unimproved and unopened
and has never been of any use or benefit as a public thoroughfare
or to the public and that it would not inconvenience the public
or the citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue
and Vacate said portion of said street as a public thoroughfare:
NOW THEREFORE$ BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION I. It Is hereby declared and ordained that the
City Coundil of the City of Jefferson, Trtisqouri.,. deems it necessary
and expedient to vacate and discontinue that portion of Broadway
Street in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereinabove described
and that the owner of all that portion of Lot 14 in Block 1 of
Section One of Panoratia Hills, a subdivision as aforesaid, which
abuts said portion of Broadway Street (same being the only lot or
provately owned property which does abut said portion of Broadway
Street ) has petitioned said City Council to vacate and discontinue
said portion of said street as a part of the public thoroughfares
of said City; therefore, said portion of said street is hereby
forever vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare and the
right of reversion Rnd reverter of said portion of said street to
the adjacent and abutting owner as is -Provided by the statutes
and laws of the State of Missouri is hereby fully confirmed and
ratified and approved and reverter of all of the right, title and
interest of the City of Jefferson in and to said portion of said
street to said abutting owner is hereby confirmed, and the A 1-ayor
of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver all City
deeds, writings, and instruments for and. on
behalf of and in the name of the City of Jefferson to fully and
completely set over and assign to and establish and guarantee
in said adiacent and abutting owner the title to said portion of
said street which has heretofore been vested in the City of
Jefferson., Missouri, and to establish in said abutting owner in
connection with the above vacation of said Portion of said street
all rights to which by law he be entitled.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
