• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE
STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION
ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Intermadal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 provides for
a portion of its funding to be used for transportation enhancements; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation issued a call for projects in the
Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program on August 6, 1993; and
• WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills is committed to the enhancement of public
facilities within its corporate lmuts for the benefit of all who visit or reside ui Richland Hills;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has projects in its long range plan which qualify
for funding under this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the City of Richland Hills recommends that Richland Hills Western Gateway Beautification
be considered for funding in the Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program at an estimated
• total cost of $100,000.00. That the City of Richland Hills commits to provide a 20% local match

for the project of $20,000.OU if the project is selected for inclusion in the program.
Passed, approved, and adopted on the 28th day of September, 1993.
