SECTION 1. Whereas , it was heretofore found and declared by the
City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on August 2, i
1954 necessary to pave with Penetration bituminious macadam r
cement concrete the roal",way of Nelson Drive in the bloc
-'T"rom the centers the intersection of i4elson Drive and Miller
Stream to the center of the intersection of fie-1--so-T-5-rive
and he-moo h line of Lot 9 Hod ewood Heights and it appearing
to the CIty Council that said resolution has been duly published
according to the law for more that seven (7) consecutive insertion ,
in the Post-Tribune _, a daily newspaper, printed and published
in the -ity of Jefferson., Missouri , and a majority of the resident
gwners of property along said section of Nelson Drive liable for kkxxxxxt
the costs of said improvement, and who own a manor ty of the front
feet on said Nelson Drive intended to be improved, have not
filed with the ^ity Clerk a protest against said contemplated im -
provement.
SECTION 2. That the said road of Nelson Drive be improved
in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the
City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that
the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be cliarged and levied
as a special assessment against the real estate a.ruttiing and front '
ing on said contemplated improvement, and special tax '-,ills shall ,
be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter, and in Sec-
tions 764,765,766 and 767 of Chapter 13, of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1941, and of the Revised Stat-
utes of the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto.
SECTION 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for
bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPF!,RATOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE FROM PER-::
M ITTING THE SAME TO BE PARKED ,VITHIN THE DESIGNATED AREAS ON VAR-
IOUS NAMED STREETS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, rND PRO- �
VIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. I
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
14?ISSOTIRI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the operator of a
motor vehicle to permit the same to be parked within the following
designated areas on the following named streets of the City of Jef -
erson , Missouri.
(a) On the north side of Film ore Street between
Jefferson and Washington Streets.
(b) On the East side of Marshall between Dunklin
ans Ashley Streets.
(c ) On the North side of Edmonds between Myrtle
Avenue and the western terminus of Edmonds.
SECTION 2. KnVone violating any of the provisions of this ordi-
nance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. 1his ordinance shall be in force arid , efflect from and
after its passage and approval.
