ORDINANCE NO. 61 -45
AN .ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH-
ING PARKING REQUIREMENTS ON CITY.STREETS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION I. The City of Temple City has heretofore by Section
3301 of the Municipal Code adopted County Ordinance No. 6544, known as
the "Traffic Ordinance" as the Traffic Code of the City of Temple City.
SECTION II. Section 3305 is hereby added to the Temple City
Municipal Code, which section shall be deemed a part of the Traffic
Code of the City of Temple City and which Section shall read as follows:
"3305. (a) Upon any street in the City of Temple City no
person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle, whether attend-
ed or unattended, upon the roadway when it is practicable to stop, park,
or leave the vehicle off such portion of the street, but in every event
an unobstructed width of the street opposite a standing vehicle shall be
left for the free passage of other vehicles and a clear view of the stop -
ped vehicle shall be available from a distance of 200 feet in each dir-
ection upon the street. This Section shall not apply upon a street where
the roadway is bounded by adjacent curbs.
(b) This Section shall not apply to the driver of any vehicle
IIwhich is disabled in such a manner and to such extent that it is impos-
sible to avoid stopping and temporarily leaving the disabled vehicle on
the roadway."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of July 1961, by
the following roll call vote:
AYES:. Councilmen - Buchan, Merritt, Tyrell, Dickason
NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Fitzjohn
