AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGA'rNST THE
LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF
JACKSON STREET, FROM RUSSELL STREET TO WOODLAWN AVENUE, IN THE CIT
OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY
GRADING, CURBING AND GUTTT:RING AND PAVING WITH ASPHALT TkIACADAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate ohd
cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordinarcel,
against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on
the roadway of Jackson Street from Russell Street to Woodlawn
Avenue , in the City of Oefferson, Missouri., for the improvement of
hroadway of `'ackson Street aforesaid, including such grading as
may be necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sun of
$ 1-92935.3B as the total costs of the improvement of said
street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said road-
way of said 'Uackson Street aforesaid, between the aforesaid street
amounts to 2112. 83 running feet; the cost -,rice per running foot
is 7.70 plus 42. 10 per lin. ft. for curb c, gutter
Section 2. "*or the purpose of paying said improvement of sai�
roadway of Jackson Street, fr om hussell Street to Woodlawn Avenue
there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $ 7.70 as a specij�
tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said
roadway of street between the aforesaid streats, and
contained in such of or piece of round fronting or abutting said
improved roadway of said Oackson Street, from Russell Street to
Woodlawn Avenue.

or owners and contained in the lots ortracts of land so owned and
abutting said block or street. between the aforesaid streets and
the cost price per front foot for said improvement and the
amount hereby levied and assessed as a special tax for said Im-
provement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abuttinj
said Jackson Street or the oradway from the center of the Inter-
section of Jackson Street and Russell Street to the center of the
intersection of Jackson Street and Woodlawn Avenue.
Section 4. That the �'ity Clerk is hereby instructed to rrak(
out special t�x bills in favoe of the contractor Pope
`jonstruction ompany for the w�thin mentioned work in
`®ra'n-c-e-`WTth the ordinances of the ity of Jefferson, Ajissourif
relative to said kind of work and in accordance with bh6 Charter
of said City in regard to said work.
Section 5, This ordinance shall 'take effect and be in
froce from and after its passage and approval.
