NEW SIDEWALKS OR 11AVEVENT IN THIS CITY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. +i
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, I
MISS OUR I, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Driving on new sidewalks or pavement.
It shall 'be unlawful for any person to drive, or cause to be
driven or ridden, any animal, or to ride, drive or propel or
cause to be ridden, driven or propelled, any vehicle on or I�
across any sidewalk or newly made pavement in any public street.,
across, or around which sidewalk or )avement there is a barrier j
or at or near which there is a �ierson or sign warning persons
not to drive over br across such sidewalk or pavement, or a sign II
stating that the sidewalk or street is closed: Provided, however„
that when it is necessary for a person to have coal, wood, or
other commodities delivered to them and it is necessary to cross
any sidewalkm then, in that event, such person shall place boards;)
across and over said sidewalk to protect :.-said sidewalk and guar 9 to
protect the curbing.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the terms of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Ii
