TING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE STREETS OF THIS CITY
WHEN IN "ROXIMITY TO BLIND PERSONS AND PROVIDING A PFMALTY FOR
VIOLATION T HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TGE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
1NISS(dbRl, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That for the purpose of guarding against acci-
dents, it is hereby declared unlawful for any person not wholly
or partially Tplind to carry or use upon the streets, highways
or public places of this city any cane or walking stock which j
is white in color. The term 'white" in color as used herein,
shall mean painted or enameled, and not an unpainted or nathural !�
I` wood color. Such white cane or walking stock may be used on the
Ili streets or in other public places of the city by persons wholly
+ or partially blind as a means of identifying them to drivers or
operators of horse-drawn and motor vehicles for the purpose of
protecting them from injury by said vehicles.
;I Section 2. Any driver or operator of any vehicle who
approaches. or comes into proximity with any person, or persons,
j carrying white canes or walking stocks shall immediately come to
a full stop. if such person is in the path of, or about to enter,
or approaching the path of, such vehicle, and the operator of
�j said vehicle shall take such precautions, before proceeding, as

TION OF MOTOR VE 'ICL'ES BY THE USE OF ELECTRIC STOP SIGNS, AND
it PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AYD ENACTING AN OFD�!N
ANCE FOR THE CONTROL OF TRAFFIC BY ELECTRICALLY OPERATED STOP
SIGNS, AND PROVIDING A °ENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. (�
!i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY �F JEFFERSON,
j MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS
J Section 1. Ordinance Number 3550 regulating the operation
of motor vehicles by the use of electrically operated stop signs,

Green Light
