AN ORDINANCE !'RO1-!T3IT1NG THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES NEAR
INTERSECTIONS OF THE STREETS OR HIGHWAYS IN JEFFERSON CITY,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VTOLATTON THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: ii
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for the operator of any
motor vehicle to permit the same to be parked within twenty (20)
iffeet of a crosswalk at the intersection., except where parking
meter stalls are located, and except where expressly permitted
by other ordinances.
Section 2. -i�his ordi nance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
Section 3. Anyone violating any of the Permb of th&s
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.

5705 and 5833, restricting the parking of a motor vehicle within I
designated areas on the streets, alleys and public highways of
this city, and providing penalties for the violations thereof,
and enacting an ordinance: restricting the operator of a motor
vehicle from permitting the same to be parked within the
designated areas on the streets alloys and public highways of
this City, and providing a penalty for the violation thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TliE CITY OF JEFFERSON.,
MISSOURI., AS FOLLOWS;

motor vehicle on the streets, alleys and )-L).blic highways of
this city within certain designated areas., and providing
penalty for the violation thereof, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
IISection 2. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the
operator of a motor vehicle to permit the same to be
parked within -'.--he areas hereinafter designated on the
following named streets:
1. City Hall ilding. On the south side of High
Street for a distance of eighty two (82) feet west of
the west curb If Monroe Street, providdd that,
policemen of the City may park city owned cars and
motorcycles within said areas

3. Highway Phtrol. On the east side of Broadway
for a distance of forty (40) feat north of the
north curb of Nigh Street, provided that,
Highway patrolmen may park their Official motor '
vehicles in said area.
4. Federal Post Office. On the s,)uth side of Mgt
street between points located fifty (50) and one

hundred seventy three (173) feet east of the
east curb of Washington Street, provided thato
anyone might park within said area in order to
deposit mail or pick up mail at the Post Office
building.
5. High StreetMail Box. On the north side of
High Street between points located thirty eight
(38) and ninety eight (98) feet east of the
w..st curb of Washington Street, provided that,
anyone may lark within said area in order to
deposit rail in the outside Post Office mail
box located near the curb.
6. State Prison. On the north side of State
Street within a distance of one hundred eighty
seven (187) feet west of the west curb of
Lafayette Street.
On the south side of State
Street within a distance of thirty eight (38)
feet west of the west curb of Lafayette Street.
On the west side of Lafayette
Street within a distance of twenty five (25)
feet south of the south curb of State Street.
Provid.dld that, the Wardenm members of
the Psrole Board, and the officials of the
Mishouvi State Penitentiary, and law enforce-
ment officers of all of the counties and
cities of Missouri when transacting official
business, may park within said three designated
areax.
7. Missouri Hotel. On the south side of High
Street within a distance of one hundred twenty
four (124) feet east of the east curb of
Munroe Street, provixded that, patrons and
guests of the Missouri Hotel, when arriving at or
departing from said Hotel, may park within said
areax. .
8. Governor Hotel. On the west side o Madison

Street between points located fifty (50) feet
and eighty two (82) feet south of the south
curb line. of Capitol Avenue, provided that,
patrons of the Governor Hotel, when arriving
at or departing from said Hotel, may park with-
in said area¢.
9. Central Hotel. On the north side of High
Street between points located forty six (46)
and sixty six (66) feet west of the west curb f
of Jefferson Street, provided that patrons
and guests of the Central Hotel., when arriving
at or departing from said hotel, may park within
said area.
10. Capitol '4ieater. On the south side of
High Street between points located one hundred

(186) west, curb of Jefferson Stbpret. I
