AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING, SAFETY Z ONW FOR THE OPERATION AND
PARYING OF OTOR VEHICLES AT T14E MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD STA-
TT "N AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. I
BE IT ORDAINED 9Y THE CI'T'Y COUNCIL '-TV THE CITY OF JI,.-FFERSCN,
MISS OURT, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby created a "safety zonerr for the I
stopping or arking of taxicabs, auto vehicles and other vehicles
aforesaid. 13eginning at a ;point on the west side of monroe
Street, fifteen (15) feet south of the soutl line of State Street,
thence south along the roadway of Monroe Street to a point with-
in fifteen (15) ' feet of an alley beginnirg at a point on the east
side of Monroe .Street, fifteen (15) feet of the south line of
Sate Street, thence south along the roadway of Monroe Street
to a point within fifteen (15) feet of an alley; the said "safety
zones shall be designated by the application of white paint on j:
the brick roadway of said Monroe Street aforesaid; the white line 1
made by :paid white paint shall be at least 4 inches in width and
shall run parallel with the curb and shall extend ten (10) feet
from the curb line.

All taxicabs, auto vehicles, and other vehicles stopped
or parked within the confines of the white lines aforesaid on
the west side of Monroe Street shall face south and all taxicabs, ji
auto vehicles or other vehicles within the cinfiaws of the white
lines on the east side of Yonroe Street shall face north.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and affect
from^nd after its passage and approval. `
Section 3. An•-one violating any of the terms of this ordi-
nance shall be deemed guilty of a middemeanor. f
