this ordinance it shall be the duty of the Jefferson Citvlines, (�
Inc. to either paint the curbing with yellow paint within the
areas designated in Section two (2) and the subsection thereof
of this ordinance, or, to erect signs designating said areas as
bus stops so that the drivers of 911 motor vehicles shall be
warned of the presence and location of said bus stops and shall
not park therein.
Section 4. Failure to designate and mark said bus stops I�

with ,yellow paint or by appropriate signs will cancel any obli-
gation of the law enforcement officials of the City to en-
force any ordinances of ty,e City prohibiting the operator of a
motor vehicle from permit,tinf the same to be parked within
said bus stops.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCES 3932, .4455,4627 and 4691 of the
City of Jefferson, pertaining to the office of the Wlefare
Worker, the manner of filling said office, the term of said
office, the qualification of the office, and the powers and dutbies
of the Welfare vVorker, and enacting an Ordinance pertaining to the
same subject.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFF' ',RS0?T,
NISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Ordinances 3932, 4455, 4627 and 4691 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri , pertaining to the office of Welfare
Worker, the manner of filling said office, the term of said
'I office, the qualifications of the office, and the powers and
duties of the Welfare Worker, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.
Section 2. Welfare Worker. The office of Welfare Worker is
hereby created.
Section 3. d Uointraent.2'hw Welfare Worker shall be app-
ointed by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of the members
( of the City Council. Said appointment shall be made on or before
the second regular meeting of the City Council after the general
city election in the year 1.955 and every two years thereafter.
( Section 4. Term of Office. The term of office shall be for
two ,years, provided that,, the Mayor., with the consent of a maj-
ority of the members of the Council, may remove the Welfare
Worker from office et any time. In the evdnt of the death, re-
signation or rerr.oval of the Welfare Worker from office, the Mayor,
{ with the consent of a majority of the members of the City Council., I,
shall have the power to make an interim appoint ment of a quali-
fied person to serve the balance of the two year term.
Section 5. Qualifiactions. The Welfare "orker shall be
over t�-,e ageo of twenty one years rand a resident of the City of
I Jefferson. Said. person shall be of good moral character and I
physicially able to carry out the duties delegated to said
office by ordinance, the Mayor or the City Council. �
