RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas has
heretofore called a general election for city officers and a special election upon
propositions to amend the Home Rule Charter of the City, both of such elections to
be held on May 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint the Judges for said general and
special elections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
1. That the following persons shall be the Officers who shall conduct the
May 1, 1993 election at City Hall:
Presiding Judge: Ralph Houy
2725 Birch Park
(Address)
Alternate Presiding Judge: Ola James
• 3106 Ash Park
(Address)
The Presiding Judge shall appoint not less than two nor more than five qualified
election clerks to serve and assist in conducting said election; provided, that if the
Presiding Judge actually serves as expected, the Alternate Presiding Judge shall
serve as one of such clerks.
2. The Presiding Judge, Alternate Presiding Judge and such election clerks
as are appointed by the Presiding Judge shall also serve as the Early Voting Ballot
Board for such election.
3. The City Secretary shall deliver copies of this Resolution to the Presiding
Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge appointed herein not later than the twentieth
day after the date of this Resolution, which copies so delivered shall constitute
notice to the Presiding Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge of their appointment as
provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills,
Texas, by a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions this 9th day
of March , 1993.
