Ordinances Numbers 3387, 3990, 42Q69 4466, 4753, 5156 and 5503 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri rolating to the ( fire chief and members of the fire department be and is hereby repealed. Section 2. The Fire Department of the Cit"T of Jefferson shall consist of a Fire Chief rind twenty additional firemen. Section 3. Two of the fireilien sr,ill Tie desi,;-nnted Assistant Fire Chiefs. The assistant fire chiefs shall nerform any and all duties assigned to them by the Fire Glhi'of. The assistant fire chiefs shall be appointed by the Fire Board with the approval and consent of the City Council. IF)ection 4. Three of the firemen shall be designated Fire Captains. 'I The fire captains ­0-all nerforri and all, duties acsigned to them by the Fire Chief. It is also the diAty of the fire chief to cause order to be preserved or going to, working Est, or returning from fires , and at all times � when the men of the fire department are on duty. j Section 12. The fire chief and Pirernen shall also see that all. goods are removed from any building on fire to a place of safety, if possible, and are authorized to insure the safety of the same and authorized to demolish nny house if necessary to nrevent the fire from spreading. Section 13. In the case of absence of the fire chief at any fire that may occur in the city, by reason off' si cl:noss or absence from the city, it shall he his duty to designate some member of the fire department to act in his place , who shall have the same � powers as the fire chief during* said period of absence of the I fire chief. Section 14. No alcoholic beverages shall be allowc.,d or drunk in the fire station or in an-, other premises used by the .fire depart- ment.
