A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE
CONGESTTON MITIGATIONJAIR QUALITY
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 provides for
a portion of its funding to be used for congestion mitigation and air quality projects; and,
WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments issued a call for projects
in the Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality Program on December 2, 1993; and
• WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills is committed to the improvement of public
facilities within its corporate limits for the benefit of all who visit or reside in Richland Hills;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has projects in its Long range plan which qualify
for funding under this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the City of Richland Hills recommends that a traffic signal at Handley-Ederville Road and
Trinity. Boulevazd be considered for funding in the Congestion Mitigatian/Air Quality Program
• at an estimated total cost of $75,000.00. That the City of Richland Hills commits to provide a

36% local match for the project of $27,000.OU if the project is selected for inclusion in the
program.
Passed, approved, and adopted on the 11th day of January, 1994.
