District Noo.60 , exclusive of the public highways therein amolluts
to 82,166.00 square feet. And it further appearing from the da.id
repor:Fthat on proper apportionment of said costs such lots or
pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 60 so situated, each
square foot of ground contained in said lots or pieces of ground
in said Sewer District No. 60 is chargeable with the sum of
0.01 per square foot.
Now, thereftre, for the purpose of paying for the work of con-
struction and completing of sewers in said Sewer District No. 60
together with all necessary later-ils, inlets, catch basins, manholes,
and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, there is
hereby levied and ^ssessed against the s everal and hereinafter de-
scribed lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said Sewer
District No. 60, situated in the name of the respective name of
the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, a special
tax at the rate of $ 0.01 per square foot for each and every
square foot of round so situated as aforesaid.
SECTION 2 . Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned
and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance, against which a
special tax is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance is levied
and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and the
description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of the
owner or pwners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed
and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or
piece of ground in so.id Sewer District No. 60 situated in the name
of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owned
by each property holder in the lots or pieces of ground owned by
each owner in said Sewer DIAtrict No. 60 is as followsa
Jesse Dix Ehrardt, owner of a part of the Southeast quarter
of Section 2 Township 44 Range 12 west, fronting 300 feet on the
Dix Road and running back westerly 150 feet parallel to Main Street,
the north line lying 200 feet south of and parallel to the south
line of Main Street, Assessment 41,083 sq.ft. 30.01 cost 410.83
Washington Irwin Dexter, owner of a part of the Southwest
quarter of Section 1, Township 44, Range 12 west, fronting 300 feet
on the Dix Road and running back easterly 150 feet parallel to Main
Street, the north line lying 200 feet south of and parallel to tb}e
south line of Main Street. Assessment 41,083 sq.ft. Q0.01 cost
$410.83
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed at
once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City• of
Jefferson, Missouri, of the aforesaid amounts against said lots or
pieces of land in V e aforesaid Sewer District No. 60 situated,
mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned sections of the
Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners thereof, which said
special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor and
attested and recorded by the City Clerk il.nd <Ielivered to }.
Louis Brunner , the Contractor of the work of construction of
the aforesaid sewers as provided and required by the Charter of the
City of Jefferson and the Ordinance authorizing and ordering the
cinstructdmn of sewers in sa�id Sewer District No. 60 , heretofore
passed and approved by the Coudcil.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
from and after its passage and approval.
