IN THE CITY OF JNFFERSON, MISSOURI , BY CONSTRUCTING WITH CEMENT CON-
CRETE MATERIAL, .A.CONCRETE SIDEWALK FOUR FEET IN WIDTH T HREE FEET

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS$
SECTION 1. Whereas . it was heretofore found and declared by the
City Oouncil, by Ordinance No. 3996 passed on June 7, 1937 necessary
to construct al eement concrete sidewalk on the Aortb tide of Atchison
Street in the black between Clarke Street and o13" c�Cei Street, and ir-
appearing to the City Council t- hat the property owner or owners owning
the abutting property liable for Ibhe cost of srid improvement has or have
been duly notified according to law, and that property owner or owners
br%e or have filed ant and refused to construct said sidewalk as directed
by the City of Jefferson, under the ppwer" and authority guven it by its
charter and ordinances. 'Therefore, it kehereby provided that in accordance
with the plans and specifications submitted by the City. Engineer andfiled
with the City Clerk, that a cement concrete sidewalk be constructed in fr
front of the abutting property as set out above, and that the total cost
of the aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against
the-real estate abutting end fronting on said contemplated improvement, and
special tax bills shall be issued therefor, an provided in the City Charter
and of the REvised Ordinances -f lie City of Jefferson, Missouri , 1925, and
of the Rj'Vised Statues of the State of Missouri, 1929, and amendments thereto
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 3. T his Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
