City Council. by Ordinance Ho. 3993 passed on June 7th, 1937s necessary
to construct _. cement concrete sidew-lk on the South side of Atchison
Street in the block. between Clarke Street and Dockery_ Street, and it
appearing to the City Coudai , at the property . owner of owners owning
the abutting property liable for the cost of said, improvement has or have
been duly notified according to law, and that property owner or oweere has
or have failed or refused to construct said sidewalk as directed by the
City of Jeffers _n,under the power and suthority given it by its Uharter
and ordinances. Ther fore, it is hereby provided that in accordance with
the ,plans c.nd specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed
with the City Clerk, that a cement concrete sidewalk be constructed in
front of the abutting property as set out above$ and that the total cost
of the aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessmbnt
against the real, estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated-;."
improvements and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided
in the City Charter and of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jeffersono
Xisaouri, . 1925, and of the Revised Statues of the State of Missouri, 19290
and a.mmendments thereto.
lECTIOX 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval*
