ructed in front- of the agutting property as set out above, and that
the total cost of theaforesfi.id shall be charged and levied :..e a
special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on
said contemplated improvement, u.nd special tax bills shall be issued
therefor, ..s provided in the City Charter :end of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1925, and of the Revised Statues
of the State of ,Missouri, 1929, and amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to advertise for, bide 8$r this improvement.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CEMENT CON-
CRETE SIDEWALK ON T..E NORTH SIDE OF MILLER STREET IN THE BLOCK BE-
TWERN CHERRY. STREET AND LAFIMTTE STREET.
Fronting 99 feet on Miller Street, in front of Inlot 644, the east
line coinciding with the east line of said Inlot;
IN THE CIT'T OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY CONSTRUCTING WITH CEIXXT
CONCRETE.MATEBIAL, .A CONCRETE SIDEWALK POUR FEET IN WIDTH THREE
FEET BACK FROM. THE 11ACE OF TH1 CURB.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, . AS FOLLOWS2
SECTION I. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the
City Council, by Ordinaries No. 3988 passed on June 79 1937,necessary
to construct a cement concrete sidewalk on the north side of M-Lller
Street in the block between Cherry ;street and Lafayette Street, and
it appearing to the City Council that the propertyowner or owners
owning the abutting property liable for the cost of said improvement
has or have been duly notified according to law, and that property
owner or owners has or have failed arc and refused to conertuot said
sidewlak as directed by the City of Jefferson, and r the power and
authority given it by its charter and ordinances, therefore it is h
hereby provide4 that in accordance with the plans and specifications
submitted by the City Engineer a d filed with the City Clerk, that
a cement concrete sidewalk be sonstructed in front of the abutting
property as set out dbove, and that the total cost of the aforesaid
shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against the real es,
estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated. improvement, and
spaecial tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City
Charter and of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, hissohr
1925, and of the Revised Statues of the Strete of Missouri , 19299 and
amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 3.This ordinance shall take effect and be inf force from
and after its passage and approval.
