ADb LAFAYETTE STREET. Fronting 34 feet 4j " in front of Inlot 644, the east line lying 70 feet west of and parallel to the east line oft of said Inlot IN THE CITY OF JE'.'FERSON, MISSOURI, BY CONSTRUCTING WITH CEMENT MATERIAL, .A CONCRETE SIDEWALK FOBS FEET IN WIDTH THREE FEET BACK FROM THE FACE OF THE CURB. BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON MIS�3OU.RI0 AS .FOLLOWS s :SECTION 1. whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City. Council, by Ordinance No. 3989 passed J ne 7, 1937, necessary_ to construct a cement concrete sidewali on the north side of Miller Street in the block between Cherry 5teeet and Laf- ayette Street, and it appearing to the City Council that the pro- perty owner or owners owning the abutting property liable for the cost of said improvement h ,.s or have been duly notified according to law, and that property owner or owners has or have bailed and refused to construct said sidewalk as directed by the City of Jefferson under the power and authority given it by idw its charter and or- dinances, Therefore, it is hereby provided that in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, that a cement concrete sidewalk be constructed in front of the abutting property as set out above, and that the total cost of the aforedaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting hn said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter and the the Revised ordin- • ancees of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1925, and of the Revised Statues of the State of zissouri, 1929, and amendments thereto. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to advertise for bids for this improvement. SECTION 3.
