owning the abutting property liable for lhe cost of said improvement
has or have been duly notified according to law, and that property owner
or owners has or have failed met and refused to construct said sidewalk
as directed by the City of Jefferson, under the power and authority
given it by its charter and ordinances. Therefore it is hereby pro-
vided that in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted
by the .City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, that a cement con-
crete dieewalk be constructed in front of the abutting property as set
out above, L._nd that the total cost of the aforesaid shall beC&arged
and levied " a. special assessment against the real estate abutting and
fronting - on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be
issued therefor, :..s provided in the City Charter and of the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , 19259 and of the Revised!
Statues If the State of Missouri* 1929, and amendments thereto .
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTTCN 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and afteriits passage and approval.
